Your email address is used to send you the weekly digest. It is not sold, shared, or used for any other purpose.

When you sign up with an invite code, the following information is stored:

• Your email address (required to send the digest)
• Your first name (used to personalize the greeting)
• Signup date and subscription status

Your data is used solely to deliver the weekly digest email. Specifically:

• Your email address is used to send the weekly newsletter via Amazon SES
• Your first name is used in the email greeting
• Your subscription status is checked before each send to ensure unsubscribed or bounced users are not contacted

• Your email is never sold or shared with third parties
• No tracking pixels or open-rate tracking in digest emails
• No advertising or marketing emails beyond the weekly digest
• No analytics or cookies on this website beyond what the hosting provider (AWS Amplify) collects by default

All data is stored in AWS (Amazon Web Services) in the US East (Ohio) region. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AWS-managed encryption). Access is restricted to the newsletter operator.

Your account data is retained while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your email is marked as inactive and excluded from future sends. If you would like your data fully deleted, contact feedback@lessscrolling.com and it will be removed.

You can at any time:

• Unsubscribe using the link in any digest email
• Request a copy of your stored data
• Request deletion of your data

The newsletter uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Amazon Web Services — hosting, email delivery (SES), data storage (DynamoDB), authentication (Cognito)
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI analysis of published news articles for trend identification. Your personal data is not sent to Anthropic; only published news article content is analyzed.

This policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be noted in the digest email.
